SCHOOL HIGHLIGHTS
October was filled with excitement and learning at Libertas Academy! We kicked off the month with our Kindergarten Pumpkin Patch Field Trip, where students enjoyed a fun, hands-on fall experience together. On October 6, we hosted our Literacy Block Party, featuring a visit from the Colleton County Literacy Bus. Students and teachers alike loved exploring books and celebrating the joy of reading. Later in the month, students dressed to impress for Picture Day, sharing their bright smiles and school pride. We also completed our mid-year video shoot, highlighting how our CKLA and Eureka Math curricula are strengthening student learning and achievement across all grades. To wrap up the month, Spirit Week brought out incredible energy and creativity from our students and staff. It was the perfect way to close out an amazing October!
WHAT IS MAP TESTING?
MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) is an assessment that helps us understand each student’s current learning level and growth over time. It’s not a graded test. It simply gives teachers valuable information to tailor instruction and meet students where they are.
CORE VIRTUE: GRATITUDE
We are recognizing and appreciating the good in our lives and showing thankfulness through our words and actions. This month, we're proud to recognize Benjamin T. (2nd grade) as our Core Virtue Student. From day one, Benjamin has demonstrated a genuine love for learning and deep appreciation for the opportunity to attend Libertas Colleton. His positive attitude and enthusiasm remind us all to be thankful for the privilege of growing, learning, and serving together.
