LAC Principal's Corner: September

Libertas Academy Colleton Principal's Corner: September Edition

School Highlights
September was a busy and exciting month at Libertas Academy! Our kindergarten students proudly presented before the School Board, showcasing what they have been learning through our Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA) curriculum.

We also completed our Fall MAP Testing to measure student growth and progress. Make-up testing will be available in mid-November for any students who missed the initial window.

To close out the month, our team enjoyed connecting with families and community members at First Thursday Downtown, highlighting our ongoing partnership with the Walterboro community and our commitment to local collaboration.

Quick Reminders: Uniforms
All students are expected to follow the school dress code daily. Jackets must be solid red, white, blue (no logos required). Crocs and non-uniform items are not permitted. Students wearing unapproved items will be asked to remove them in class, and parents will be contacted for a change of clothes.

Core Virtue: Diligence
This month, our Core Virtue focus was Diligence, putting forth steady, consistent effort in all that we do. Students practiced diligence by showing perseverance in their lessons and pride in their learning.

  • Virtue Champion: At the beginning of the year, coming into the school was very hard for Chloe (Kindergarten) and many mornings were filled with tears. Now, she walks into school with bravery, and even on tough days, she pushes forward and tries. Her perseverance reminds us all that strength isn't about the absence of struggle. It's about showing up and trying again each day.
